What is speed to lead software?
Speed to lead software contacts a new lead within seconds of a form fill or call: it texts them, rings a rep, or routes the lead to whoever is free, then logs it in the CRM. Some tools only route and book meetings; others place the call or send the text themselves.
The phrase covers four quite different kinds of product, and their prices differ by more than ten times. B2B routing tools such as Chili Piper and LeanData send inbound demo requests to the right rep and book the meeting. Instant call and text tools such as Callingly, Leverly, Verse and Kixie contact the lead for you. Lead distribution tools such as ClickPoint LeadExec move bought or shared leads to buyers and teams. All-in-one CRMs such as HighLevel let you build the same response with workflows.
What this page adds: the published price of 11 tools, read from each vendor's own pricing page on November 8, 2026, the same month of 300 new leads priced on each tool with a public price, and the fees the headline prices leave out. The top-ranking pages for "speed to lead software" when we checked list tools without prices or cover one vendor only.
How much does speed to lead software cost?
Published prices on November 8, 2026 ran from $0 (LeadExec Starter, up to 250 leads a month) and about $80 to $100 a month (Callingly Starter, HighLevel Starter) up to $1,000 a month plus $1,000 setup (Leverly) and $1,250 a month billed yearly (Chili Piper Growth). Four of the 11 tools we checked show no price.
The bigger difference is how each tool charges. None of the public-priced tools we checked uses a plain price per user. Chili Piper sells a bundle of 15 seats. HighLevel, Callingly and Leverly charge a platform fee and then per text, per AI call or per lead. LeadExec charges by lead volume. So the question to ask is "what will my month cost at my lead volume?", not "how much per seat?". The worked example further down answers it for 300 leads.
What are the published speed to lead software prices, tool by tool?
Six of the 11 tools publish prices: HighLevel from $97 a month, Callingly from $80 to $100, CallRail from $50, LeadExec from $0, Leverly from $1,000 plus setup, and Chili Piper from $1,250 billed yearly. Kixie names its plans with no prices; LeanData, Convoso and Verse ask you to contact sales.
| Tool | Type | Entry plan with the feature | Published price | Billing and usage |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| HighLevel | All-in-one CRM; you build the response with workflows | Starter | $97 a month | Unlimited users. Texts billed per segment ($0.00747 per US segment on its phone system) plus carrier fees |
| Callingly | Instant call and text | Starter | $100 a month, or $80 a month billed yearly ($960) | Unlimited users. Includes $100 of usage a month; $0.50 per AI call, $0.12 per SMS segment, $5 per number |
| CallRail | Call tracking; Voice Assist answers calls (adjacent) | Lead Tracking | $50 a month; Voice Assist from $95 a month | Usage on top: $0.05 per local minute, $0.03 per SMS, $3 per local number |
| ClickPoint LeadExec | Lead distribution | Starter | $0 for up to 250 leads a month; Growth shown as $825 or $660 a month | Priced by lead volume, not users; $0.03 per lead over the plan |
| Leverly (formerly Speak2Leads) | Instant call to form leads | Form-to-Phone | $1,000 a month minimum plus $1,000 one-time setup | $1.50 per form lead from the monthly credit; no per-minute or per-seat fees; credit does not roll over |
| Chili Piper | B2B routing and booking | Growth | From $1,250 a month, 15 seats included | Billed yearly only ($15,000); $45 a month per seat after 15 |
| Kixie | Calling and texting with instant lead response | Professional | Plans named, no prices shown | Page lists unlimited US and Canada minutes |
| LeanData | B2B routing in Salesforce | Standard Edition | Contact sales | Priced on features, objects and Salesforce users or queues; setup billed separately |
| Verse | AI texting and live transfer | Starter | Contact sales | Not stated |
| Convoso | Contact center dialer | Not named | Quote after a consultation | Carrier fees billed separately |
| iSpeedToLead | Lead marketplace (not software) | n/a | Per lead, varies by market and grade | No minimum and no recurring fee |
LeadExec's page shows two figures per plan with a monthly and yearly switch, and does not label which is which; the lower figure is exactly 20% below the higher one. Callingly's comparison table reads "$100/mo $80/mo", which suggests $100 is the monthly price and $80 the yearly rate. CallRail's page gives two different local minute rates ($0.05 and $0.06) in different tables. We list what each page says and flag where it is unclear.
iSpeedToLead turns up in searches for this term but sells leads, not software, so it is not in the cost comparison below.
What does a month with 300 new leads cost on each tool?
For 300 new leads a month, each texted once right away: about $100 on HighLevel Starter, $100 on Callingly Starter, $660 to $825 on LeadExec Growth, $1,000 on Leverly (plus $1,000 setup), and $1,250 on Chili Piper Growth. Add an AI call to every lead and Callingly rises to about $186.
One month of 300 new leads on each tool
This is an illustrative month for a service business or a small sales team. We used the cheapest plan with the feature, list prices from November 8, 2026, one single-segment text per lead, and three reps (all the tools here cost the same for 3 or 10 reps). Call minutes on HighLevel are left out because they depend on how long each call lasts.
| Tool and plan | Arithmetic | Month |
|---|---|---|
| HighLevel Starter | $97 + 300 texts x $0.00747 = $99.24, plus carrier fees of $1.05 to $1.50 | about $100, plus call minutes |
| Callingly Starter, texts only | 300 x $0.12 = $36, inside the $100 of included usage | $100 |
| Callingly Starter, text and AI call per lead | $36 + 300 x $0.50 = $186 of usage; the $100 plan fee covers the first $100 | about $186 (if usage over the included $100 is billed at the listed rates) |
| LeadExec Growth | 300 leads is over Starter's 250, so Growth | $660 to $825 |
| Leverly Form-to-Phone | 300 x $1.50 = $450, below the $1,000 minimum | $1,000, plus $1,000 setup in month one |
| Chili Piper Growth | Flat for up to 15 seats | $1,250 (billed $15,000 a year) |
At this volume the minimums decide the bill. Leverly's $1,000 credit covers about 666 leads at $1.50, so a business with 300 leads pays for more than twice what it uses. Chili Piper's price only makes sense for a team that books enough meetings to need the routing rules and 15 seats. For a small business, the cheapest options are the ones with a low platform fee and a per-text price, as long as call and AI usage stay small.
Which kind of speed to lead tool do you need?
If you sell B2B demos and need leads routed to the right rep with a booked meeting, look at routing tools like Chili Piper or LeanData. If you are a service business that needs every form fill called or texted in seconds, an instant call and text tool or a CRM workflow is cheaper and closer to the job.
Pick the kind of tool first
Three questions decide it:
- Who answers the lead? If a rep must speak to every lead, you need a tool that rings reps and connects the call (Callingly, Leverly, Kixie). If a text or an AI agent can handle the first reply, a workflow in your CRM may be enough.
- Do leads need routing rules? Territories, account owners and round robin across many reps are what Chili Piper and LeanData are priced for. A team of three rarely needs them.
- Where do leads already live? If your forms, calendar and texting are already in one CRM, building the response there avoids paying a second platform fee and keeps the conversation history in one place.
What do speed to lead software price pages leave out?
Usage, minimums and terms. Most tools charge per text, call, AI conversation or lead on top of the plan; Leverly and Callingly bundle a usage credit that does not roll over or that you can outgrow; Chili Piper bills yearly only; LeanData and Leverly charge setup. Carrier fees for texts are usually extra.
- Usage on top of the plan. CallRail says its plans are priced "plus additional usage". Callingly includes a fixed dollar amount of usage. HighLevel bills each text segment.
- Minimums. Leverly's $1,000 a month is a minimum spend, and its pricing page says unused credit does not roll over.
- Setup fees. Leverly charges $1,000 for Form-to-Phone and $5,000 for Leverly AI. LeanData says setup and onboarding are billed separately.
- Yearly billing. Chili Piper's FAQ says all plans are billed yearly and monthly billing is not available.
- Text length. Per-segment pricing means a long text or one emoji can double the cost of every message; our reminder text guide shows why.
- Registration. Business texting in the US needs a registered number before texts deliver reliably. See our A2P 10DLC registration guide.
- The build. No tool decides what the first text says, when to call again, or what happens when the lead replies. That work is the same whichever tool you buy.
Can you build speed to lead without buying a separate tool?
Often, yes. If your CRM can start a workflow when a form is submitted or a call is missed, it can send the first text in seconds, alert a rep, try a call and log everything. HighLevel does this with workflows and its missed call text back feature; n8n or Zapier can do it for other CRMs.
A typical build looks like this: the form submits, a text goes out within seconds with the business name and a booking link, the assigned rep gets an alert, a call is attempted if the lead has not booked within five minutes, and an AI agent answers replies outside working hours. HighLevel's help article on missed call text back describes it as a feature that "automatically sends a text message to a caller when their inbound call is missed", and those texts count toward messaging usage.
A separate tool earns its price when you need what a CRM workflow does badly: ringing several reps at once and bridging the first one who answers, strict routing across many teams, or reporting on response time per rep. Our lead response automation service builds either way, and the lead response time calculator shows what your current delay costs.
How fast should you respond to a new lead?
As fast as you can, ideally within minutes. Our speed to lead statistics page traces the most quoted figures, such as the "5 minute" studies, back to their original sources and says which still hold up.
We keep the evidence on one page so it is not repeated here: speed to lead statistics, traced to the original studies. Use it to set a target, then pick the tool that can hit that target at your lead volume.
Questions people ask about speed to lead software
Is speed to lead software worth it for a small business?
Usually only the low-fee kind. For a business with a few hundred leads a month, a CRM workflow or a tool with a platform fee near $100 a month covers the job. Tools with $1,000 minimums or 15-seat bundles are priced for sales teams with high lead volume.
Does speed to lead software work with my CRM?
Most connect through native integrations, webhooks or Zapier, but check the exact CRM on the vendor's integration page before you buy. LeanData, for example, prices and runs inside Salesforce. If the tool cannot write the call and text history back to your CRM, your reps end up working in two places.
Can an AI agent respond to leads instead of a rep?
Yes, for the first reply. Several tools here sell AI texting or AI calls, priced per conversation, such as Callingly at $0.50 per AI call on Starter and Leverly at $3.50 per AI conversation over one minute. An AI agent can answer, qualify and book, then hand the lead to a person.
What is the difference between lead routing and speed to lead?
Lead routing decides who gets the lead: by territory, account owner or round robin. Speed to lead is about how fast the lead is contacted. Routing tools help speed when the delay comes from leads waiting for an owner; instant call and text tools help when the delay comes from nobody reaching out.
Why do some speed to lead tools hide their prices?
Tools priced on custom inputs, such as Salesforce users, objects or call center seats, quote each deal. LeanData says its price depends on features, objects and Salesforce users or queues. Ask for the full yearly cost with setup and usage in writing before you compare.
