Update October 12, 2026: HighLevel says the October 13 voice price changes will no longer be implemented. Read what was cancelled and what is still unclear. The voice sections below describe the cancelled announcement and are kept for reference. HighLevel's cancellation entry does not mention the messaging and phone number update, so check your account for that part.
What changes on October 13, 2026?
HighLevel posted two price changes on its changelog, both dated for October 13, 2026. The voice change, which has since been cancelled, would have raised the per-minute price of some inbound and outbound calls in listed international countries. The messaging and phone number change raises outbound SMS prices to some international destinations, and the monthly rent for some international phone numbers. Neither change lists the United States or Canada.
The two entries are on HighLevel's public changelog at ideas.gohighlevel.com/changelog. Titles: "Voice Pricing Updates, Effective October 13, 2026" and "Messaging and Phone Numbers Pricing Updates, Effective October 13, 2026". The voice entry is dated October 1, 2026.
Does the October 13 change affect US numbers?
Not on the lists we read. A US business that calls and texts US numbers, and rents US numbers, should not see these price changes on the October 13 entries. Check your own invoice after the change, because the changelog lists only the countries it names. If you are still choosing a plan, our GoHighLevel plans guide covers how usage charges sit on top of the plan fee.
That matters for the decision. A change for Germany, Brazil or the Philippines should not push a US practice to a different plan or a different phone provider. It should change the cost of any automation that reaches those countries.
Which inbound voice rates rise?
The voice entry listed per-minute rates for incoming calls in a long list of countries. These increases were cancelled on October 12, 2026. Every increase we checked is a quarter of a cent per minute or less. The examples below are copied from the entry.
| Country and number type | Before | Announced for October 13 (cancelled) |
|---|---|---|
| Argentina, local | $0.0107/min | $0.0115/min |
| Belgium, mobile | $0.0113/min | $0.0125/min |
| Brazil, local | $0.0100/min | $0.0115/min |
| Germany, mobile | $0.0100/min | $0.0125/min |
| Mexico, mobile | $0.0100/min | $0.0125/min |
The voice entry also lists outbound minute changes for some countries. Read the full entry for your destinations, since the outbound list is separate from the inbound list.
Which outbound SMS prices rise?
The messaging entry lists outbound SMS prices for twelve international destinations. The table shows five of them, from the largest rise to the smallest, with the percentage change from the old price.
| Destination | Before (per SMS) | From October 13 | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Albania | $0.1167 | $0.1419 | about 22% |
| Mongolia | $0.2957 | $0.3541 | about 20% |
| Nicaragua | $0.1567 | $0.1856 | about 18% |
| Maldives | $0.3581 | $0.4047 | about 13% |
| Nepal | $0.3022 | $0.3082 | about 2% |
Percentages are our arithmetic from the two prices in the entry. The entry lists the price per SMS message in dollars, as shown. Confirm the unit on your own invoice before you budget on it.
What happens to phone number rent?
The phone number part of the entry is the one that can change a monthly bill quickly. Monthly rent rises for numbers in several listed countries, and some increases are large. The rows below are copied from the entry.
| Country and number type | Before (per month) | From October 13 |
|---|---|---|
| Hong Kong, local | $6.00 | $14.70 |
| Norway, mobile | $12.00 | $16.40 |
| Philippines, mobile | $120.00 | $142.00 |
| Colombia, local | $14.00 | $17.50 |
| Belgium, local | $1.25 | $1.70 |
How do I estimate what the change costs me?
Use one formula for each line of your bill: volume multiplied by the difference between the new price and the old price. Add the lines together. The examples below use prices from the entries, with volumes we chose for illustration.
- Inbound calls to Germany, mobile. 1,000 minutes a month at $0.0100 rising to $0.0125 adds $0.0025 a minute. That is $2.50 a month.
- Outbound texts to Nepal. 3,000 messages a month at $0.3022 rising to $0.3082 adds $0.0060 a message. That is $18.00 a month.
- Phone numbers in Norway, mobile. Ten numbers at $12.00 rising to $16.40 adds $4.40 each, which is $44.00 a month.
The numbers show a pattern. Minute and message changes are small per unit, so they matter at high volume. Number rent is the bigger line for a business that rents many local or mobile numbers abroad, because one rise repeats across every number.
Which automations are most exposed?
- Reminder and follow-up texts to international patients or customers. A high message volume to a listed destination is the first thing to check.
- AI voice calls that dial or receive calls in listed countries. Every call is billed per minute, so long calls cost more.
- Businesses with many local numbers abroad. A multi-location practice or agency with numbers in several listed countries will see the rent rise on each number.
- Sub-accounts that share a number. If a number is used by more than one sub-account, a rise hits all of them, so agree who pays before October 13.
What should I do about these prices?
Voice minute prices are unchanged after the cancellation. The steps below still work for the messaging and phone number lines, which the cancellation entry does not mention.
- Export the last three months of call and message logs, grouped by country.
- Match each listed country to the volume you actually send to it.
- Run the formula above for each line and add the totals.
- Decide whether any automation should route to a different number type or channel, such as email, for a destination where the price rises most.
- Tell any client whose sub-account bears the cost, before their next invoice.
HighLevel's original note said no action is required, and the cancellation entry says "No action is required for now." The full changelog context for the week is in our changelog count. For any price that does change, your bill moves whether or not anyone acts, so the check takes an afternoon.
What is the cost to me if my automations do not reach these countries?
Nothing changes. If your numbers, calls and messages stay in the US and Canada, the two changelog entries do not list them. Keep an eye on the changelog anyway, because prices can change again.
Frequently asked questions
Are these prices per call or per minute?
Voice prices in the entry are per minute. Messaging prices are per SMS message, as the entry lists them. Phone number rent is per month.
Does a plan change my rate?
The changelog lists list prices, not plan-based discounts. Check your plan and any rebilling terms before you assume a number applies to you.
Where can I see the full list?
Open both entries on the HighLevel changelog. They contain the complete country lists, and this guide shows only the rows we used for the examples.
