Best HVAC CRM: GoHighLevel vs Housecall Pro vs Jobber vs ServiceTitan

Housecall Pro, Jobber and ServiceTitan run your trucks, schedule and invoices, while GoHighLevel wins the leads, follow-up and reviews around them, so the right pick depends on which problem is costing you jobs.

Key takeaways

  • Housecall Pro, Jobber and ServiceTitan are built for dispatch, GPS and invoicing. GoHighLevel is built for lead capture, follow-up and reviews.
  • ServiceTitan does not publish prices: it is quote-based, per technician. The other three list prices on their own pages.
  • A multi-truck HVAC company should not run operations in GoHighLevel. Many pair it with a field tool for the lead side.
  • Whichever you pick, choose one system as the source of truth for customer records to avoid duplicates.

Which is better for an HVAC business: GoHighLevel, Housecall Pro, Jobber, or ServiceTitan?

They solve different halves of the business. Housecall Pro, Jobber, and ServiceTitan are field service platforms built around dispatch, technicians, and invoices, while GoHighLevel is a marketing and lead-follow-up CRM. Most HVAC companies need the first kind at the center and, once volume grows, some version of the second alongside it.

Search results for this comparison are mostly written by one of the vendors or by an affiliate, so the verdict usually happens to favor whoever wrote the page. We sell GoHighLevel setup, so you should know our bias up front. We are also going to tell you where the other three are the better purchase, because for a truck-based business they often are.

Here is the short version before the detail:

  • ServiceTitan is the full operating system for larger, multi-technician HVAC companies, and its pricing is quote-based.
  • Housecall Pro is a mid-priced field service tool with dispatch, GPS, and service plans that suits small to mid-size crews.
  • Jobber is the lowest entry price of the three field tools and fits owner-operators and small crews doing quotes, scheduling, and invoicing.
  • GoHighLevel is the strongest of the four at capturing leads, following up automatically, and running review and reactivation campaigns, and the weakest at running trucks.

Every price and feature below comes from each vendor's own pricing or product page, read on September 24, 2026. Prices change often, so treat every figure as "at the time of writing" and confirm on the vendor's page before you buy. For a deeper look at how we design the lead side, see our guide to GoHighLevel automation for local service businesses.

What does each platform cost at the time of writing?

GoHighLevel lists $97, $297, and $497 per month. Housecall Pro lists $79, $189, and $329, and Jobber lists $49 to $499 across four plans. ServiceTitan publishes no prices and quotes per technician.

A few details in that table change how you read it.

First, Jobber and Housecall Pro both advertise lower annual or promotional rates. Jobber's annual figures are labelled as the rate for the first 12 months, and Housecall Pro shows an introductory offer on its Max plan alongside a "Book Demo" button. We list the regular monthly figures so the four columns compare fairly.

Second, GoHighLevel's plans are agency-oriented. The Starter plan's 3 sub-accounts are meant for someone running client accounts. A single HVAC company uses one account, so the real question is whether the base subscription plus usage charges beats what you pay now for a texting tool, a review tool, and a form builder.

Third, we could not find a ServiceTitan price and we will not guess one. If a blog post gives you a specific ServiceTitan monthly number, ask where it came from. ServiceTitan's own page says its per-technician pricing is "designed to fit your business and goals."

For the GoHighLevel side of that math in more detail, see our GoHighLevel pricing breakdown.

What is each platform actually built to do?

GoHighLevel is built for capturing, nurturing, and closing leads through automation. Housecall Pro, Jobber, and ServiceTitan are built for running the job itself: scheduling technicians, sending quotes, collecting payment, and tracking work in the field.

"Not listed" means the vendor's pages we read do not name the feature. It does not prove the platform cannot do it, and a vendor can add features at any time, so verify on the current product pages. What the table does show is where each product puts its weight. The three field tools list dispatch, GPS, and job costing as headline features. GoHighLevel lists lead capture, workflows, and reputation.

Where are Housecall Pro, Jobber, and ServiceTitan clearly the better choice?

They win anywhere the work happens on a truck: dispatching technicians, routing them by drive time, tracking them by GPS, and turning a finished job into an invoice and a payment. GoHighLevel does not list a dispatch board, technician GPS, or route optimization, so a business with several trucks should not try to run operations in it.

Field dispatch and scheduling

Housecall Pro says you can "dispatch the closest tech to no-cool emergencies from a live map" and that route optimization reorders jobs using "real drive time and live traffic." ServiceTitan describes dispatching that "automates dispatching, ensuring the right techs are assigned to the right jobs." A calendar with booking rules, which is what we build in GoHighLevel, decides when a customer can book. It does not decide which truck should take the next call based on where every truck is right now. On a hot week with several no-cool calls, that difference is the whole job.

GPS and routing

Jobber lists Map and Routing, GPS Waypoints, and GPS tracking, and its pricing page shows GPS tracking and route optimization across all plans. Housecall Pro puts routes and employee GPS tracking on Essentials and above. ServiceTitan lists GPS technician tracking. If fuel and windshield time are a large cost, this is a reason to buy a field tool even if you already like your CRM.

Invoicing, payments, and the paperwork after the job

Housecall Pro lists progress invoicing for multi-day installs and payment by card, Tap to Pay, or mobile check. Jobber and ServiceTitan both connect quotes, invoices, and payment collection to the job record. GoHighLevel lists invoicing and payment integrations, and they work for simple invoices, but they are not built around a technician closing a work order on a phone in a customer's driveway.

Service agreements, pricebooks, and depth

ServiceTitan lists Service Agreements, Pricebook, Inventory Management, Job Costing, and Accounting in one product. That breadth is why larger contractors choose it and why it is quoted per technician instead of sold off a price card. ServiceTitan also publishes performance figures for customers who have used it for two or more years, for example "+9% revenue per technician," with its own disclaimer that "results are not guaranteed and may vary." Read those as the vendor's marketing claims, not independent findings.

If most of your pain is on the operations side, buy from this group first. Our GoHighLevel setup work will not fix a dispatch problem.

Where does GoHighLevel beat the field service tools?

GoHighLevel is stronger before and after the job. It catches missed calls, follows up on unsold estimates, requests reviews, and reactivates past customers from one record.

Field tools include marketing features, but several are paid add-ons or sit on higher plans. On the vendor pages we read, Jobber's Marketing Suite is a separate $99 per month add-on, and Two-way SMS and custom workflow automations start on its Grow plan. Housecall Pro lists Campaigns, Voice, and Pipeline as add-ons. GoHighLevel puts workflows, forms, funnels, calendars, conversations, and reputation tools inside one subscription, and it charges usage fees for the texting and calls that run through it.

In the HVAC systems we design, the pattern is a single pipeline where each stage change fires a specific action:

  1. Missed call: an automatic text goes out within seconds and asks for the one detail dispatch needs.
  2. Estimate sent: a follow-up sequence runs until the customer replies, books, or declines.
  3. Job complete: a review request fires from the stage change, not from a timer.
  4. Seasonal: a spring tune-up or fall furnace check campaign goes to past customers, filtered by the last service date.

The first-hand caveat: this only works if someone updates the stage. In a field business, the person who knows the job is done is the technician, and he or she is not sitting at a desk. That handoff is where the GoHighLevel design succeeds or fails, and it is the strongest argument for pairing it with a field tool. Our guide to GoHighLevel automation for local service businesses walks through each stage in more detail, and our local SEO automation guide covers the review side.

Can you run GoHighLevel and a field service tool together?

Yes, and for a growing HVAC company it is often the practical answer. The field tool owns the schedule and invoice, GoHighLevel owns lead response, follow-up, and reviews, and an automation tool passes job status between them.

Running both: who does what

Connected through native integrations, Zapier or n8n.

The cost of running two systems is a sync problem. A booked job has to appear in both places, a completed job has to trigger the review request, and a new lead has to become a customer record without a duplicate. There are three ways to connect them:

If you decide to run both, our GoHighLevel setup for HVAC companies covers the integration details and what we build.

  • Native or marketplace integrations: check each vendor's integration list first. Coverage differs by platform and changes over time, so verify the specific connection you need.
  • Zapier: quick to set up and fine for a few triggers, such as "job completed" to "send review request."
  • n8n: better when you need error logs, retries, and a search-before-create rule so duplicates do not pile up.

The design decision that matters is which system is the source of truth for customers. Pick one. Two systems that each believe they own the customer record produce the same duplicate-contact mess we describe in how to fix a messy GoHighLevel account.

Which platform fits which size of HVAC business?

Solo and two-truck companies usually fit Jobber or Housecall Pro Basic. Crews of five or more fit Housecall Pro Essentials or Max, and larger contractors with service agreements and inventory fit ServiceTitan. GoHighLevel fits when lead response is the bottleneck.

The thresholds in the first three rows are our judgment, not a vendor rule. Each vendor sells to companies outside those bands. Use them to decide which demo to book first, not which one to sign.

What does each platform really cost once you add users, add-ons, and setup?

The listed subscription is rarely the full cost. Housecall Pro charges per extra user above the plan's count, Jobber sells marketing and AI as add-ons, GoHighLevel bills texting and calls by usage, and ServiceTitan's price depends on your technician count.

  • GoHighLevel: subscription plus usage for SMS, email, phone numbers, and premium AI. Add setup time, because the platform is a toolbox that has to be built. Our typical build pricing at the time of writing runs from about $1,000 for two or three automations to about $3,000 to $5,000 for a full setup, with monthly support from $200.
  • Housecall Pro: the plan price plus $35 per month for each user beyond the plan's count on Max, plus any add-ons you pick.
  • Jobber: the plan price plus optional Marketing Suite, Pipeline, and AI Receptionist add-ons. Check the plan card for user counts.
  • ServiceTitan: quote-based, so the only honest answer is to get the quote in writing, including onboarding and any per-technician minimums.

The Autoesta figures are our own typical prices for GoHighLevel builds, not a comparison with the vendors' setup fees, which we did not find published. When you ask each vendor for a quote, ask three questions: what is the onboarding cost, what happens to the price when I add a technician, and how do I get my data out if I leave.

When is GoHighLevel the wrong choice for a home service business?

GoHighLevel is the wrong first purchase when your biggest problem is running trucks, invoices, and technicians rather than winning and following up on leads. It is also a poor fit if nobody will own the setup after the build.

Skip GoHighLevel, or postpone it, if any of these describe you:

  • You have no scheduling or invoicing system yet. Start with a field tool. A follow-up engine on top of a paper schedule automates the wrong problem.
  • You want one screen that dispatches, routes, invoices, and reports job costing. That is what the field tools list and what GoHighLevel does not.
  • Your leads already get answered quickly and reviews are steady. The return on follow-up automation is smaller when there is little leakage to fix.
  • No one on your team has time to learn workflows, and you do not plan to hire help. An unowned GoHighLevel account drifts into the state described in our cleanup guide.
  • You send high volumes of texts and have not set up carrier registration and consent. Texting rules such as TCPA and A2P registration apply. This is not legal advice, so check with a lawyer or your carrier before you launch campaigns.

The reverse cases matter too. Field tools are a poor fit if you mainly need lead follow-up across many channels, or if you run an agency serving many HVAC clients from one login. Their marketing modules exist, but they are add-ons rather than the center of the product.

How do you decide in a week without a six-month project?

Write down your top three problems, book demos with two vendors, run the same real job through each, and price each option for your actual user count. Decide on the demo evidence, not on feature lists.

  1. Name the top three problems. For example: calls missed after hours, no route planning, no follow-up on quotes.
  2. Split them into operations or lead flow. Operations problems point to Housecall Pro, Jobber, or ServiceTitan. Lead-flow problems point to GoHighLevel.
  3. Request pricing from each vendor. ServiceTitan requires a demo for a number, and Housecall Pro's Max plan shows a "Book Demo" button.
  4. Run one real job through each demo. Use last week's no-cool call: booking, dispatch, arrival text, invoice, payment, review request.
  5. Test the exit. Ask how to export customers, jobs, and invoice history.
  6. Decide who owns it. If nobody internal will, budget for support from the start.

If the answer turns out to be GoHighLevel, alone or beside a field tool, we can scope it on a free 30-minute call. See what the process looks like on our GoHighLevel setup page, or look at a finished build in our dental case study, which shows the same pipeline approach in a different industry.

Frequently asked questions

Is GoHighLevel a field service management tool?

No. The vendor markets it as an "AI-powered business operating system" for capture, nurture, and closing, and its pages we read do not list a dispatch board, technician GPS, or route optimization. Businesses that need those pair it with a field tool.

How much does ServiceTitan cost?

ServiceTitan does not publish prices. Its pricing page shows three tiers, Starter, Essentials, and The Works, each with a "Request Pricing" button, and says pricing is per technician. Expect a quote-based process.

Is Jobber cheaper than Housecall Pro?

At the entry level, yes: Jobber Core is listed at $49 per month against $79 for Housecall Pro Basic. Compare the tier you would actually use, because the features and user counts on each plan differ.

Which of these has the best GPS and routing?

We have not tested them head to head, so we will not rank them. All three field tools list GPS features. Jobber lists Map and Routing across plans, Housecall Pro lists routes and employee GPS on Essentials and above, and ServiceTitan lists GPS technician tracking. Test each with your own service area in a demo.

Can GoHighLevel replace my field service software?

For a solo operator with simple jobs and manual scheduling, maybe. For a multi-truck HVAC company, we would not recommend it as the only system. Use it for lead response and follow-up, and keep dispatch and invoicing in a tool built for them.

Can GoHighLevel automate missed-call text-back for an HVAC company?

Yes, Missed Call Text Back is a named feature on the vendor's homepage. What the reply says, and who picks it up, still needs to be designed. See our AI calling agent service and AI chat agent service for the automated options.

Do you recommend one of these to every HVAC company?

No. We recommend the one that matches the problem you can name today. To talk it through, contact us or read more about working with a certified GoHighLevel expert.

What is the best CRM for an HVAC business?

If dispatch, estimates and field service run your business, a field service tool like Housecall Pro, Jobber or ServiceTitan should stay at the centre. GoHighLevel for HVAC adds what those tools do less well: missed-call text-back, marketing follow-up and reviews. Many HVAC companies use a CRM for HVAC marketing next to their field service software.
