Does Autoesta build MCP servers and API integrations?
Yes. Autoesta builds custom MCP servers and API integrations for client businesses, so AI apps such as Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor, or your own agents, can read from and act on your CRM, database or internal systems with sign-in, permissions and logging.
We have delivered API and MCP integrations for client businesses, each shaped around how that business works. The full service, including the client compatibility matrix and the security checklist, is on our MCP server development page. Plain system-to-system connections with no AI app involved are covered on our API integrations page.
Everything we build runs on your own accounts: your code repository, your cloud host, your OAuth app and your API keys. You own the server and can switch it off without asking us.
What does Autoesta build for MCP and API work?
Custom MCP servers over your CRM, database or internal API with a short list of task-shaped tools; OAuth sign-in and scopes; hosting and call logs on your cloud account; n8n-backed servers; and direct API integrations for fixed processes.
| What we build | What goes in | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Custom MCP server | Your CRM (often GoHighLevel), database or internal API, and the actions people want the AI to take | A server with a short list of tools named after business tasks, such as "find open invoices for a client" |
| Sign-in and permissions | Who will use it, and in which AI apps | OAuth for remote servers, the smallest scope per tool, and human approval for sensitive writes |
| Hosting and logging | Your cloud account | The server behind HTTPS with rate limits and a log of every tool call |
| n8n-backed server | Logic that already lives in n8n | MCP tools that each run an n8n workflow you can see and edit |
| API integration | Two or more systems that must exchange data on a trigger or schedule | A workflow or service with retries, error alerts and logs, with no AI app in the loop |
| Handover pack | The finished build | The repository, credentials in your name, a plain-language tool list and a runbook |
Under the Model Context Protocol, an AI app discovers a server's tools with a tools/list request and runs one with tools/call (MCP specification, tools). Most MCP servers call your existing API underneath. Our FAQ on the difference between an MCP server and an API explains how the two layers fit together.
How does an MCP server project with Autoesta run?
A free strategy call, a free audit of the systems and actions involved, a written plan with a fixed price, tool design, the build on your accounts, testing in each AI app your team uses, then handover. Fixes are free for 6 months.
- Free strategy call. We list the questions people will ask and the actions they want done, and check whether an official server or a plain integration already covers it.
- Free audit and fixed price. We look at the APIs behind your systems and send a written plan with a price before work starts.
- Tool design. Each tool is a business task with a tight input schema, a clear description and a note of whether it reads or writes.
- Permissions. Each tool gets the smallest scope it needs, and we agree which writes need a person to approve them.
- Build on your accounts. Code on the official MCP SDKs, or an n8n MCP Server Trigger when your logic already lives in n8n. Secrets go in your secret store.
- Test in each AI app. We connect the server to the apps your team uses and test sign-in, every tool and the failure cases.
- Handover. You get the repository, credentials, tool list and runbook, and our 6 months of free fixes start.
Timelines depend on the number of tools, the sign-in method and how clean the API behind it is, so we give you one with the fixed quote. Our FAQ on how long an automation build takes covers the usual causes of delay.
How much does Autoesta charge for an MCP server or API integration?
At the time of writing, the strategy call and audit are free, a small build of two or three automations is about $1,000, and full setups run $2,000 to $5,000. MCP servers get a fixed price after the free call.
| Item | Price at the time of writing |
|---|---|
| Strategy call and first audit | Free |
| Small build (two or three automations or integrations) | About $1,000 |
| Full setup | $2,000 to $5,000 |
| MCP servers and larger systems | Fixed price after the audit, shown before work starts |
| Cleanup of an existing automation account | From $200 |
| Fixes to anything we built | Free for 6 months |
| Monthly support after that | Optional, from $200 |
We quote MCP servers separately because the number of tools, the sign-in method and the systems behind them change the work a lot. Your own costs sit outside our fee: the cloud host that runs the server, your AI app plans, and your CRM or database plan. The protocol itself is free to use.
How does Autoesta keep an MCP server safe?
We follow the specification's server duties: validate every tool input, enforce access controls, rate-limit tool calls and sanitize outputs. We add OAuth with narrow scopes, human approval for sensitive writes, and a log of every call.
The MCP specification lists those four as things servers MUST do, and says there "SHOULD always be a human in the loop with the ability to deny tool invocations" (MCP specification, tools, checked October 30, 2026). We start with read-only tools, add specific write tools one at a time, and never forward a user's token to your downstream systems. The risks we design against, from token passthrough to prompt injection, are explained in our FAQ on MCP server security risks.
When do you not need Autoesta for an MCP server?
When the vendor's own MCP server already covers the job, when no person will ask an AI app to act, or when one agent can call your API directly as a tool. In those cases connect the official server or build a plain integration.
- An official server exists and fits. Many business tools now publish their own MCP servers. Our research on official MCP servers for business software lists which tools have one. For GoHighLevel, the steps are in our guide to connecting the HighLevel MCP server to Claude or ChatGPT.
- Your automation platform already offers MCP. Zapier, Make and n8n each have an MCP route, compared in does Zapier have an MCP server.
- The job is a fixed process. A form lead going to the CRM, or two systems syncing on a schedule, needs an API integration or a workflow. No AI app is involved, so an MCP server only adds a moving part.
We build a custom server when you need what those options do not give you: data from several systems in one tool, your own business rules enforced before a write, or a short list of safe actions in place of hundreds of raw ones. We tell you on the free call which route fits.
More questions about Autoesta and MCP servers
Which AI apps will a server from Autoesta work with?
We build remote servers over Streamable HTTP with OAuth, which Claude custom connectors, ChatGPT, Cursor, the Claude and OpenAI APIs and n8n can all connect to, each with its own setup screen and sign-in rules. Before the build we check which apps your team uses and which protocol version each one speaks, then test the server in every one of them before handover.
Can Autoesta build an MCP server for GoHighLevel?
Yes. HighLevel has its own official MCP server, so we usually connect that first and check whether it covers the job. We build a custom server around GoHighLevel when you need CRM data combined with another system, your own rules before a write, or several sub-accounts in one answer. HighLevel also added workflows to its MCP server in a private beta on October 28, 2026, which we covered in HighLevel workflows in its MCP server. Our founder, Alpit Patel, is a HighLevel Certified Admin.
Which AI model does Autoesta use with an MCP server?
The server works with whichever AI app or model calls it. When we also build the agent on top, we choose a current model for each client based on quality, speed, cost and data handling, and never one with an announced retirement date. Our FAQ on which AI models Autoesta uses explains that choice in more detail.
Who owns the MCP server when the project ends?
You do. The code lives in your repository, the server runs on your cloud account, and the OAuth app and API keys are registered in your name. We document every tool, scope and secret location at handover, so you can change providers or switch the server off without asking us. See who owns the automations and data we build.
Who is on the team that builds it?
Autoesta is a 16-person team, about 8 in San Francisco and the rest in India and Nepal, with 320+ projects delivered for clients in the US and abroad. If you need help deciding where AI fits before any build, our AI consulting is quoted per business. More answers are in our FAQ hub, and the team is introduced on about Autoesta.
