How much do Instagram DM automation tools cost in 2026?
On pricing pages we read on October 30, 2026, the cheapest paid plan of nine Instagram DM tools ran from $9.99 to $97 a month. Eight of the nine offer a free plan or a free trial, and they bill by five different units.
That last point is the finding that matters most. ManyChat bills by Active Contacts, LinkDM and CreatorFlow by DMs sent, Chatfuel and Spur by AI credits, SendPulse by subscribers, and GoHighLevel by a flat plan. The headline prices are not comparable until you translate your volume into each tool's unit, which is what this page does.
We build Instagram DM systems on several of these tools for clients; our Instagram DM automation service explains how we pick one. This page is the dated price dataset behind that choice. We have no paid relationship with any vendor listed.
How did we collect the prices?
We read each vendor's own pricing page or help center plan articles on October 30, 2026, recorded the lowest paid plan, its billing basis, its billing unit and what it includes, then priced two realistic volumes with the arithmetic shown.
- Tools. Nine tools that sell Instagram DM automation through Meta's API and publish prices: ManyChat, GoHighLevel, Chatfuel, SendPulse, Inro, LinkDM, CreatorFlow, InstantDM and Spur. We left out tools with no public price.
- Source rule. Only the vendor's own page. No review sites, no affiliate tables. Where a page contradicts itself, we say so in the table.
- Billing basis. We record monthly billing where the page shows it. Three vendors show only an annual-billing monthly rate for the plans we list; those are marked.
- Currency. US dollars as published. Inro publishes in euros; we did not convert it.
- Exclusions. Tax, Meta ad spend, CRM costs, and AI model fees charged by a model provider.
What does each Instagram DM tool charge?
The lowest paid plans were InstantDM $9.99 and Spur $12 (both annual billing), SendPulse $12, CreatorFlow $15, ManyChat $17, Chatfuel $18, LinkDM $19, Inro EUR 12.99 and GoHighLevel $97 a month, each checked October 30, 2026.

Why are Instagram DM tool prices so hard to compare?
Because nine tools use five billing units. A plan that includes 5,000 DMs, one that includes 2,500 people and one that includes 100 AI credits can each be cheapest, depending on how many messages each person gets and whether AI writes them.
Nine tools, five billing units
The unit decides which campaigns are cheap on each tool:
- Per person (ManyChat, Inro, SendPulse). Long conversations cost nothing extra. A viral reel that brings many one-off commenters costs the most.
- Per DM (LinkDM, CreatorFlow, InstantDM). One-shot keyword replies are cheap. Long qualifying flows with many messages per person use the allowance faster.
- Per AI credit (Chatfuel, Spur). Cost tracks how much AI answering you do. Chatfuel's own page estimates its chat counts from an example scenario and says they are estimates, not fixed limits.
- Flat (GoHighLevel). The Instagram channel comes with the CRM, inbox and calendars at one price; AI answering is a separate add-on.
What would 1,000 people a month cost on each tool?
For 1,000 people a month, each sent 3 automated DMs with no AI, the lowest cost was InstantDM at $9.99 (annual billing), then CreatorFlow $15, LinkDM $19, ManyChat $39 and GoHighLevel $97. Four tools could not be priced from their pages.
Monthly cost for 1,000 people and 3,000 DMs
| Tool | 1,000 people, 3,000 DMs a month | 5,000 people, 15,000 DMs a month | Arithmetic and plan |
|---|---|---|---|
| InstantDM | $9.99* | $9.99* | Legend Pro; no monthly cap stated, 800 an hour |
| CreatorFlow | $15 | Over plan: Growth $30 includes 10,000 DMs; top-up price not listed | Pro includes 5,000 DMs |
| LinkDM | $19 | $19 | Pro includes 25,000 DMs; Free (1,000 DMs) is too small |
| ManyChat | $39 | $99 | Pro includes 2,500 people; at 5,000, Business $99 beats Pro at $39 + 2,500 x $0.05 = $164 |
| GoHighLevel | $97 | $97 | Starter flat price; add $50 or $97 for AI answering |
| SendPulse | Not computable | Not computable | Prices for 1,000 and 5,000 subscribers not shown in the page text |
| Inro | Not computable | Not computable | Plan table and FAQ disagree on the Pro contact limit |
| Chatfuel, Spur | Not comparable | Not comparable | Billed by AI credits; keyword-only usage is not priced on the pages |
* Annual billing only on the page. Assumptions, labelled: one Instagram account; each person gets 3 automated DMs (a private reply, an answer after a button tap, one link); no AI replies; no extra seats; monthly billing where shown. Change the DMs per person and the per-DM tools move; change the number of people and the per-person tools move.
Is the cheapest tool the right one?
Not usually for a business. The low-priced tools focus on keyword replies and link delivery. Once you need CRM sync, a team inbox, booking or AI answers, the comparison shifts to ManyChat Pro and above, GoHighLevel, or a custom n8n build.
The dataset shows where features begin. ManyChat lists CRM integrations and AI from Pro. LinkDM and CreatorFlow pages list no AI. InstantDM's AI agent node needs your own model key from its $24.99 plan. GoHighLevel includes the CRM itself, which is why it costs more and why it often replaces two tools. Our ManyChat pricing FAQ breaks down that one tool plan by plan, and our GoHighLevel pricing guide does the same for HighLevel.
For high volume or custom logic, a build on Meta's API with n8n swaps a per-contact fee for hosting and maintenance. Our n8n and Zapier pricing research shows how n8n bills runs.
What does this data prove, and what does it not?
It proves what nine vendors publicly charged on October 30, 2026, and how differently they bill. It does not measure delivery, reply quality, support, Meta approval status or how fast prices change.
- It does show list prices, billing units, free tiers and plan inclusions as each vendor published them on one day, with contradictions noted.
- It does not show discounts, regional prices (ManyChat says plan availability varies by region), or what an account on an older plan pays.
- It does not test the tools. We did not run campaigns on all nine, so nothing here says one delivers more messages or converts better.
- It does not change Meta's limits. Every tool works inside the same Meta rules, such as 750 private-reply calls an hour per account in Meta's Instagram Platform overview. A tool's own hourly cap, such as InstantDM's 800, does not raise Meta's.
More questions about Instagram DM tool pricing
What is the cheapest Instagram DM automation tool?
On October 30, 2026, InstantDM's Legend Pro had the lowest listed paid price at $9.99 a month, billed yearly. On monthly billing, SendPulse Pro at $12 for its smallest tier and CreatorFlow Pro at $15 were lowest. Several tools also have free plans, from ManyChat's 25 Active Contacts to LinkDM's 1,000 DMs a month.
Which Instagram DM tools have a free plan?
Six of the nine: ManyChat (25 Active Contacts a month), SendPulse (500 subscribers), Inro (100 active contacts), LinkDM (1,000 DMs), CreatorFlow (500 DMs) and InstantDM (500 DM automations). Chatfuel and Spur offer free trials instead. HighLevel's pricing page lists no free plan.
Is ManyChat more expensive than other Instagram tools?
At low volume, a little: Essential is $17 a month against $15 to $19 for per-DM tools. At 1,000 people a month ManyChat Pro is $39, about double LinkDM Pro. ManyChat includes things the cheaper tools do not list, such as CRM integrations, WhatsApp and AI on Pro, so compare the features you will use.
What costs are not in these prices?
Tax, Meta ad spend for ads that start conversations, a CRM if the tool is not one, extra team seats, and AI model usage when a tool runs AI on your own model key, as InstantDM's AI agent node does. Setup work is also separate. Price those before comparing plans, because they often exceed the tool fee.
How often do these prices change?
Often. ManyChat replaced its whole pricing model on March 2, 2026, and is still moving older accounts country by country. Treat this table as a snapshot dated October 30, 2026, and check the vendor's page on the day you subscribe.
