HighLevel adds 28 new templates: what is in them, and what to check before you launch

On October 5, 2026 HighLevel posted an entry called Introducing New Templates. Its count line lists 28 templates across social, Facebook, Google and LinkedIn ads, a website, a survey and a blog post, and its gallery shows a pharmacy snapshot. Here is the breakdown, who can create and browse templates, and what to check first.

Key takeaways

  • Released October 5, 2026: 28 templates in seven groups.
  • 25 of 28 are social or ad templates; the gallery also shows a pharmacy snapshot.
  • Anyone can browse; only an Agency Admin on the $497 Pro plan can create custom templates.
  • Google ad templates in finance and health need a policy check before launch.

What did HighLevel release on October 5, 2026?

On October 5, 2026, HighLevel posted a changelog entry called "Introducing New Templates". The count line says 28 templates were published: one website, one survey, one blog, eight social, five Facebook ad, five Google ad and seven LinkedIn ad templates. The entry's gallery also shows a Pharmacy snapshot preview, which the count line does not include.

The source is HighLevel's public changelog at ideas.gohighlevel.com/changelog. Each entry is dated, and the counts below are read from the entry itself.

HighLevel had published a similar entry on September 27, 2026, which included one website, one funnel template, eight social, two Facebook ad, five Google ad and seven LinkedIn ad templates. It had no blog or survey template. So this is the second batch in eight days, and the social and ad formats are the common thread.

What is in the 28 templates?

Most of the release is for marketing. Twenty-five of the 28 are social or ad templates, and the rest are a website, a survey and a blog post. The changelog names the categories for each group, and the table keeps them as written.

The pharmacy snapshot in the gallery is worth a separate look. A snapshot carries a whole account setup, not just a page or an ad, so check it in your own library before you assume what it installs.

Who can use the new templates?

Anyone with access to the template library can browse and use them. HighLevel's help article on custom templates says Agency Admins on the $97 Starter and $297 Unlimited plans can browse the Agency Template Library, but cannot create new custom templates. Creating a custom template requires an Agency Admin on the $497 Pro plan.

That help article was last modified on September 19, 2026. The October changelog entry does not mention plan access, so the help article is the more specific source. Confirm what your own account shows before you plan a campaign around one of these templates.

Are the templates ready to publish as they are?

No. The changelog calls them "fully customizable". That means the layout is a start. The offer, the price, the photos and the claims still have to be yours.

The people who will notice a generic template are the ones who have seen a few agency ads already. A placeholder headline, a stock photo of a smiling dentist, or a vague "get more leads" line tells them the ad came from a kit. Replace the copy with what your business actually does, and drop any claim you cannot back up.

The Google and LinkedIn ad templates are the ones that deserve a policy check. Five Google templates cover finance and health categories among others, and those categories have their own ad rules. Read the platform's policy for the category before you launch. A template is a layout. It does not make a finance or health ad compliant.

Why does this matter for a service business?

A template saves design time. It does not fix the part of a campaign that loses money, which is the path from a click to a reply.

Before you launch any of these, check three things. Each form should land in a pipeline stage. Someone should reply within minutes, not at the end of the day. And the booking link should work on a phone. Response speed matters a lot here. We summarised the published research on it in our speed to lead statistics page, and the GoHighLevel automation service covers the setup.

If you already run campaigns, a new template is a chance to split-test one change at a time. Keep the offer and change the image, or keep the image and change the first line. Changing both at once tells you nothing.

What should you check before using the new templates?

  1. Open the template library and confirm which of the new templates your plan shows, and whether you can edit or only browse.
  2. For any Google or LinkedIn template in a finance or health category, read the platform's policy first.
  3. Replace every placeholder name, offer, price and image before anything goes live.
  4. Route each form to a pipeline stage with a follow-up sequence. A template without follow-up brings in leads that nobody answers.
  5. Check the Pharmacy snapshot preview against your account before you use it for a client.

What else changed on the same changelog?

The voice calling price change is the one that costs money soonest. Some international inbound and outbound minute rates rise on October 13, 2026. If an automation places calls to those countries, work out the new per-minute cost before that date. We cover the change in HighLevel voice and SMS pricing, October 2026.

Frequently asked questions

Are the 28 templates free?

The changelog does not say whether there is a charge. Check the library in your account. Plan access, as described above, is the part we could confirm from HighLevel's help article.

Is there a snapshot in this release?

The entry's gallery shows a Pharmacy snapshot preview. The count line does not include it, so treat it as a preview until you see it in your own library.

Can I edit a template after I add it?

The changelog says the templates are fully customizable. Whether you can edit a template you did not create depends on your role and plan, so test one in a sub-account before you rely on it.

Read the changelog entry, then check the template in your own account. If you want a second look at a campaign before it goes live, contact us.
