Does Autoesta build WhatsApp AI agents?
Yes. Autoesta builds WhatsApp AI agents that answer your customers, qualify leads and book appointments on WhatsApp, connected to your CRM and built on your own accounts. We connect through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform, using the Cloud API or the provider you already use.
This page is the short answer about us. The full service, with Meta's message prices by country, the 2026 AI policy and the build details, is on our WhatsApp automation and AI agent service page. Here we cover what we build, how the work runs, what it costs at the time of writing, and when you do not need us at all.
What does Autoesta build for WhatsApp?
We build an AI agent for the messages customers send you, approved templates for the messages you start, the CRM connection that logs every chat, and the workflows that decide what happens next, such as alerts, follow-ups and bookings.
A typical WhatsApp system from us has these parts. What goes in is your own information and your existing tools; what comes out is a working channel your team can see and control.
| Part | What goes in | What comes out |
|---|---|---|
| AI agent for inbound chats | Your services, prices, hours, policies and common questions, approved by you | Answers from that content only, qualifying questions, bookings, and a hand-off to a person when it should stop |
| Message templates | Your reminders, order or job updates, payment links and offers | Templates written in the right Meta category and submitted for approval |
| CRM connection | Your CRM, most often GoHighLevel | Every WhatsApp chat on the contact record, with tags and pipeline stages updated |
| Workflow layer | Your calendar, booking or job system | n8n or GoHighLevel workflows for alerts, follow-ups and write-backs |
| Consent and opt-out | Where you collect phone numbers today | Consent stored on the contact, sends stopped on opt-out |
The agent can run in GoHighLevel's Conversation AI, or in n8n when it needs to call other systems. For a hands-on view of the n8n route, read our step-by-step guide to a WhatsApp AI agent in n8n. WhatsApp has also been part of client systems we built: the Realeshome real estate lead system and the Smile Bright dental CRM both include WhatsApp next to SMS and email. If the same agent should also answer website chat, Instagram or Facebook, see our AI chat agent service.
Which WhatsApp provider does Autoesta use?
We connect through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform, either directly on the Cloud API or through the provider or CRM you already use, such as GoHighLevel's WhatsApp channel. We do not push you onto a provider to suit us.
If you already send WhatsApp messages through a provider, we usually keep it, because moving a number takes work and your templates and history sit there. If you have nothing yet, we set up the connection that fits your CRM and volume on the free call. We do not build on tools that drive WhatsApp Web from a script, because they sit outside Meta's platform and put the number at risk.
How does a WhatsApp AI agent build with Autoesta work?
A free strategy call, a free audit, then a written plan with a fixed price. We build on your accounts, test real conversations, hand everything over, and fix anything we built free for 6 months.
- Free strategy call. You tell us what customers ask on WhatsApp, what messages you send, and which countries your customers are in.
- Free audit. We look at your CRM, your current WhatsApp setup and your booking or job system.
- Plan with a fixed price. What we build, in what order, and the price, shown before any work starts.
- Build on your accounts. Your Meta business portfolio, WhatsApp Business account, number, CRM and n8n, all in your name.
- Test. Real questions, wrong answers, opt-outs, replies after the 24-hour window, and hand-offs to your team.
- Handover. Logins, a written guide to how the system works, and a watched launch.
- 6 months of free fixes. Anything we built that breaks is fixed at no charge for 6 months.
Most of the waiting sits outside our hands: Meta business verification, template approvals and access to your tools. Our page on how long an automation build takes gives the usual ranges.
How much does Autoesta charge for a WhatsApp AI agent?
At the time of writing, a small build of two or three automations, such as a reminder flow, an inbound AI agent and a hand-off, is about $1,000. Full setups run $2,000 to $5,000, and larger systems get a fixed price after the free audit.
- Strategy call and audit: free.
- Small build: about $1,000 for two or three automations.
- Full setup: $2,000 to $5,000.
- Larger systems: fixed price after the audit, for example several countries or an agent tied to booking and payments, shown before work starts.
- Cleanup of an existing account: from $200.
- Fixes: free for 6 months on anything we built; optional monthly support from $200 after that.
Meta's message fees, CRM or tool subscriptions and AI model usage are separate and paid by you to those vendors. Meta charges per delivered template message, and its pricing page gives each business phone number 1,000 free service messages a month, with charges from the 1,001st. Our WhatsApp message rates by country research works out a monthly bill, and software costs on top of a build lists the usual running costs.
Can a WhatsApp AI agent from Autoesta stay inside Meta's rules?
Yes. We build agents that serve your own business, which Meta allows; its pricing page says service replies "can be powered by a 3rd-party AI solution or people." We also follow the 24-hour window and opt-in rules in every flow.
Three rules shape every build. Free-form replies go out only inside the 24-hour customer service window that opens when a customer messages or calls you; outside it, only approved templates can be sent. Meta's opt-in rules say businesses must clearly state the business's name the person is opting in to receive messages from, and comply with applicable law. And the agent stays scoped to your business, never a general-purpose assistant. Our FAQ on whether WhatsApp is banning AI chatbots covers Meta's 2026 AI policy in full.
When something does go wrong, the two common problems have their own guides: why a WhatsApp template gets rejected and what a WhatsApp Business account restriction means.
When do you not need Autoesta for WhatsApp?
If one or two people answer WhatsApp by hand on a phone, the free WhatsApp Business app is enough. If someone on your team has time to set up templates, write the agent's instructions and connect the CRM, a self-serve tool may cost less than a build.
- Low volume, replies by hand: the WhatsApp Business app on a phone does the job.
- Your CRM's built-in WhatsApp is enough: if you only need a few reminders and your CRM offers WhatsApp, turning it on may be all you need.
- You have in-house time and skills: a self-serve tool plus your own setup can be the cheaper route.
- You want a public "ask me anything" bot: Meta's terms bar general-purpose AI assistants as the product itself, so we would not build it.
We are a fit when you want the agent, the templates and the CRM connection built and working, without your team learning Meta's rules first.
More questions about Autoesta and WhatsApp AI agents
Does Autoesta use 360dialog, Twilio or another WhatsApp provider?
We connect through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform, on the Cloud API directly or through the provider or CRM you already use. We do not require a particular provider. If you already have one with approved templates and a number in good standing, we usually build on it, because moving costs time and can reset history you want to keep.
Can Autoesta connect a WhatsApp AI agent to GoHighLevel?
Yes. Most of our WhatsApp builds sit in GoHighLevel, where chats land in the Conversations inbox on the contact record beside SMS and email. Our founder, Alpit Patel, is a HighLevel Certified Admin. The agent can run in Conversation AI, or in n8n when it needs to call other systems, with the results written back to the CRM.
Who owns the WhatsApp number and data after Autoesta builds the agent?
You do. The Meta business portfolio, WhatsApp Business account, phone number, templates, CRM, workflows and chat history are created in or moved to your name, and we work with access you can remove. If you stop working with us, the number and its history stay with you. Our policy on who owns the automations and data has the details.
Which AI model does Autoesta use for WhatsApp agents?
Every new build uses a current model, never one with an announced retirement date. We pick it per client based on answer quality, speed, cost and how your data must be handled, and the model usage is billed to your own account. Our FAQ on which AI models Autoesta uses explains how we choose.
Does Autoesta work with businesses outside the US on WhatsApp?
Yes. We are a 16-person team, about 8 in San Francisco and the rest in India and Nepal, and we work with clients in the US and abroad. WhatsApp costs depend on your customers' country, so we price Meta's fees for your markets on the free call. See whether Autoesta works with small and large companies.
More answers about how we work are in our FAQ hub, and the team behind the builds is on our about us page. For Meta's latest change to WhatsApp marketing pricing, read Meta's max price open beta for WhatsApp.
